After I graduated in 1975 from Fridley Senior High School, I took a job at a large Twin Cities based corporation working on computer PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). They had a computer system that kept short circuiting and blowing up mother boards and components.
The reason was, one of the boards had the ability to be inserted up-side-down, which enabled the electric circuits to route to the wrong connections.
My solution was to use a longer screw on one side of the connector which made insertion of the circuit boards to go in only one way. Simple... right.

Making or saving huge amounts of money, does not need to be laborious and time intensive.
